CLUE FROM THE PAST:OGD THE FESOJOYE OF ILE-IFE

In 1993, the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade (Olubuse II, 15th Ooni of Ife) found Otunba Gbenga Daniel worthy to be installed as the Fesojoye of Ile - Ife.

Otunba Gbenga Daniel whose excellence performance was noticeable in the areas of promoting the Yoruba cultural heritage,  commitment to national unity and above all unwavering involvements in humanitarian services.

One will agree with me that,  in 1993, Traditional titles in Nigeria are not what they are today,  before one can get the attention of a principal monarch like OOni, such person must have lived above expectations by dedicating his/her existence to uplift the people.

Otunba Gbenga Daniel who was one of the major financiers of the Afenifere from inception till date is known for being honorable in words, deeds, and composure which has earned him to be called 100% omoluwabi.

At 37,  Otunba Gbenga has earned himself one of the enviable titles in Yoruba land, and it was that same 1993 that concord newspaper published his name among the 50 most influential people in Nigeria,  making the list with the likes of chief Subomi Balogun, Chief Ojora etc.
