EGBA ECONOMIC SUMMIT HOLDS 2026 2ND QUARTER GENERAL MEETING AT ABEOKUTA

It was a high level intellectual discussions at the General Meeting of Egba Economic Summit meeting presided over by the President; Dr.Gbenga Adeoye today 18th April, 2026. The meeting was held at Global Peace Apartment mini Hall at No 70, First Avenue, Ibara GRA in Abeokuta. The members that attended the meeting are  1. Dr.Gbenga Adeoye. 2. Builder Abiodun Karunwi 3. 2027: Ogun People Will Decide The Next Governor: Says Showunmi

Political realignments ahead of Ogun State’s 2027 governorship election intensified on Friday as the Convener of the Alternative Movement, Chief Oluwasegun Showunmi, formally declared his intention to run for governor,  said that Ogun People will decide the next Governor not few individuals. Showunmi, who made the declaration during a courtesy visit to the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) secretariat in Abeokuta, called on opposition parties and political groups to build a grassroots-based coalition to challenge what he described as the “fumbling” of dominant political parties. The Chairman of the University of Lagos (Unilag) Alumni Association, UK Branch, has called for stronger engagement between alumni in the diaspora and Nigeria, stressing that sustained collaboration is critical to preserving the institution’s legacy and addressing pressing national challenges, particularly in healthcare and education. Speaking in an interview after donating a printer worth over #1m on behalf of Unilag Alumni UK Branch to his alma mata, the medical doctor and alumni leader said their commitments to alumni activities was driven not by personal ambition but by a sense of collective responsibility to their alma mater, the University of Lagos. “The motivation isn’t personal; it is communal.
