Osun 2022: APC is a shadow of itself, groups drum support for Adeleke Diaspora PDP Reformers and PDP National Women Parliament have described the party's governorship candidate for the July 16 election in Osun State, Sen Ademola Adeleke as an highly resourceful politician and gifted leader who has all it takes to make the people of Osun State put behind them the misfortune of APC-led government in the state. The two political groups have therefore appealed to the people of the state to increase their support for Sen Adeleke, the PDP flagbearer in the coming governorship election in the state, disclosing that the ambition of the one time Senator representing Osun West is anchored on making life more bearable for every resident of the state. Speaking on behalf of the groups, Mrs. Olanike Babawande warned the residents of the state not to allow a repeat of the 2018 election when the party was robbed of victory calling for vigilance before, during and after the election.

BAT@70 -Segun Showunmi  From the moment I met you in 1994 during the exile days at the Hilton London Metropole hotel, I have studied you like a philosophical subject, with a focus on the epistemological aspect of your activities. I can say unequivocally that you are true to your beliefs.  I recall wondering how much the struggle for democracy had cost you as of then?  I followed your activities from a distance all through the years, as I did not want proximity to distort my study.  I would like to share on this occasion of your 70th birthday my thoughts of you as I think it is a good time. You are undoubtedly, the successor of Obafemi Awolowo for the Yorubas, you have done more, contributed more, and raised more Yoruba leaders in our recent history.  You are no doubt the successor to MKO Abiola for you have invested more, shown more generosity to more, built more alliances, and contributed more money to the political cause of our people, especially in their quest to partici

Obasanjo:A Rare Gift to the World

OBJ@85.  -Segun Showunmi  What shall we render to you, oh God, you have been genuinely merciful, kind beyond measure, supportive in all ramifications, and protective despite his human frailties to our Father Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo, a village boy from Ibogun Olaogun, whom you have made a global icon.  Looking back on the last decades that I, your son, can recollect, your life as head of state was unusual, bold and courageous. The strong position you held during the apartheid era with the benefit of hindsight is indicative of a man under grace for the world order. It could easily have consumed you, but it did not. Instead, it propelled you into a dependable ally of the west.  Handing over power in 1979 at a time when with the death of General Muritala, most African leaders would have played tricks by extending and extending the date, not you. Baba, I got the cross pen you signed off with and one of the Seiko wristwatches. That indeed was the guidance of the Lord our
